Beliefs.Beliefs are a personal thing. Our political and religious beliefs are central to many of us. Honest beliefs are often based on cultural conditioning. Most beliefs are inherited from the family unit, learned in institutional settings or absorbed through contact with the society at large. The answer is: another person's religious beliefs are important to you to the degree they're important to you. Conscientious beliefs are those that stem from a persons "moral, ethical or high-principled beliefs about what is right and wrong" and are "held with the strength of traditional religious convictions. Religious beliefs are also extremely beneficial for the time spent on earth, too, as they make it easier for those who have faith to get over difficult and stressful events. God has not pigeonholed religion, the point of all this is that religious beliefs are the fruits of human minds trying to interpret the mind of god. Even among those who regularly attend religious services, fewer than one-in-five (17%) say their religious beliefs are the biggest influence. Their beliefs are those, which either embody a value system (the first category), or are beliefs about those first sorts of beliefs (the second category). My personal beliefs are not based on empirical evidence, nor are they derived from logic. It has been my experience over and over that those who are the most vocal about their religious beliefs are the ones that are living them the least. Staunch beliefs are often upheld over medical treatments, take Bob Marley, a simple toe amputation could have been enough to save the legendary reggae singers life, but due to his strong Rastafarian beliefs bob left the cancerous growth continue to take over his vital organs, which sadly caused his death in 1981 at the age of 36. Youths also were asked to indicate how often they attended religious services, whether their religious beliefs are a very important part of their lives, and whether their religious beliefs influence how they make decisions. Among youths, females were more likely than males to attend religious services, to report that religious beliefs are a very important part of their lives, and to indicate that religious beliefs influence how they make decisions.
