ART EXHIBTION

PAINTINGS BY LISA O`CONNOR

THE GATE 72 Belsize Lane, London, NW3 5BJ Monday 3 February – Saturday 3 May 2004

PRIVATE VIEW: Sunday 2 FEBRUARY 4-6PM

The Gate Restaurant, Belsize Village NW3 5BJ, is showcasing a series of paintings by British artist, Lisa O’Connor from Monday 3rd February to Saturday 3rd May.

Lisa O’Connor’s work is part of a permanent collection of contemporary British art at the Ferens Art Gallery, Hull alongside renowned artists including Tracy Emin. She also regularly shows at The White Gallery, Brighton and recently exhibited at Carmarthen Gallery Wales.

Lisa O’Connor’s work can also be seen at private bars including the Blag Club at the Canalot Studios in Ladbroke Grove.

Her forthcoming show, which fills two floors of the Gate Restaurant is a collection of paintings produced over a two-year period inspired by trips to Europe and Asia.

“They illuminate a fusion of Asian and Western street-styles with a kind of junk culture aesthetic, immediate and playful.”

Chris Ozzard, Freelance Curator

Lisa O’Connor also takes private commissions for work on canvas and in Perspex.
