Interior Design Education
The foundation for interior design education research (fider) is a specialized accrediting agency, accrediting interior design programs at colleges and universities in North America. These are the interior design educator’s council, the foundation for interior design education research, and the national council for interior design qualification. Students in this fider-accredited program learn to identify, research, and creatively solve problems pertaining to the function and quality of the interior environment.
The program is modelled on professional programs in architecture and industrial design and is accredited by the foundation for interior design education research. Fider has recently changed its name to the council for interior design accreditation.
The interior design program is a four-year, professional curriculum accredited by the foundation for interior design education research (fider) and the national association of schools of art and design (nasad), preparing students for multi-state employment.
